5 MIN MORNING STRETCH – A gentle routine for beginners

[Music] [Applause] thank you hello everyone welcome back today I’m going to lead you through a quick five-minute stretch that you can do every single morning you don’t need any equipment just make sure you have something soft beneath you you can see your screen so you can follow along with me and without further Ado let’s get to it [Music] okay so we’re going to start off by taking some deep full body breath so as you inhale arms are going to come up reaching towards the ceiling as you exhale hands come down to Heart Center you’re going to round at the back forehead comes to the mat extend the arms back and inhale reaching up [Music] thank you foreign move to a tabletop position from here you’re going to send your hips to the right and we’re drawing a big circle with those hips [Music] good and switching directions [Music] foreign good from here you’re going to roll through the spine down into Cobra pose pressing the hips into the floor and shoulder blades down then from here really moving through that spine into child’s pose again same thing rolling through that spine belly button to the ceiling then pressing those hips to the floor and then sending the booty back foreign [Music] good from here coming into a high plank you’re going to step your right foot through into a lunge hands on either side then raising the right arm up [Music] here really twisting opening those shoulders hands come back down to either side of the foot you’re going to drop that back knee then lifting the left arm moving that right hand to the inside of that foot press that left hip down into the force you’re really stretching that hip flexor and moving back through your lunge back to high plank left foot comes through this time keeping the back leg straight lifting the left arm twisting opening those shoulders foreign comes to the inside of your foot this time dropping the back leg lifting the right arm pressing that right hip down into the floor [Music] good moving through that lunge [Music] going down sitting on your bum right legs extended out to the side taking a nice big inhale up reaching over towards that foot [Music] and turning to face that leg string [Music] good coming up switching sides left legs extended inhale up reaching over towards that foot foreign stretching the hamstring [Music] good staying down here across legged we’re just going to stretch out that neck so you’re going to drop the head to the side letting your shoulders feel nice and heavy if you need you can place slight pressure on that head [Music] [Music] good release take a nice big inhale up reaching towards the ceiling [Music] and exhale and that is it I hope you enjoyed this quick five minute full body stretch that you can do every single morning it’s perfect to just wake the body up get the body moving first thing if you enjoyed this you want to see more like this make sure to give this video a thumbs up let me know in the comments and if you’re new here make sure you hit the Subscribe button turn on your post notifications so you don’t miss another video from me and I will see you guys very bye oh [Music]

    I found the ones at 3 minutes till 4:32 verry chalanging. I just don't have the balance and strength to do it like that for now. But I tried and made everything in my body crack ahahah, so with practise, i think this will get better!! thank you for this quick nice stretch!

    That plank to lunge is too much for me. I'm generally not that flexible, so this didn't feel particularly beginner friendly.

    I've been doing this stretch in the morning for 6 months now. I recommend it, I like the 15 minute one better, but I haven't got time, so this one's perfect!
    I don't have a mat, so I do it on a carpet and because I've been doing this for a long time, after a week, I just listen, not watch.

    But overall I recommend it!

    Have been doing this for two weeks now every morning and i havent felt stiff in my hips since. No more pain the next day after workouts either. This stretch has made such a huge difference and makes me look forward to waking up. Thank you Maddie !❤
