okay team the time has come it is day one of the  hr12 week 4.0 free workout program. That’s right   we are back and better than ever with, what I  believe, is possibly the best 12 week program   yet. Now I designed this program with somewhat  selfish intentions I personally was looking to   switch things up and follow more of a progressive  program with a heavy focus on strength training.   So with the goal of building muscle while  burning fat in mind plus a strong desire to   improve my Mobility the hr12week 4.0 was created.  Now outside of these selfish reasons this program   was also created for all of you. my goal with  this program and all of the other free programs   and workouts here on my channel is always to  provide quality information and programming at   zero cost to you the consumer. Removing those  financial barriers and allowing programs like   this one to be accessible worldwide. so I hope you  enjoy it I hope you find it helpful and of course   if you do I hope you share it with others. Now  this program is slightly different from my other   12 week series for a few reasons number one more  strength and less cardio we are going heavy with   those weights focusing on Progressive overload  and developing lean muscle now cardio is still   incredibly important of course for overall health  so we will be adding it into the mix from time to   time but it will not be the main focus. Number  two the equipment. you will need a variety of   light medium and heavy dumbbells you will see  a new onscreen feature that’s going to indicate   which level of weight you should choose for  each exercise this is a recommendation. select   of course weights that are right for you and that  challenge you but allow you to maintain control   and proper form with every rep. We are also using  a mini resistance band, optional ankle weights as   well as a single yoga block and a durable exercise  mat. And  finally number three Real Time videos I am   in this 100% with you guys from start to finish  I’m filming each session in real time working   out and sweating alongside all of you. It is  going to to be a wild 12 weeks my friends and   I cannot wait to get started. So day one is  an arm workout with dumbbells focusing on the   biceps the triceps and the shoulders. As we get  started this week I want you just to experiment   a bit with your weight okay so start lighter and  if you feel like you could probably get in a few   more reps then next time increase those weights  slightly I’m going to be using 5 10 and 15 lb sets   today again don’t focus on what weights I’m using  choose what feels right for you and always always   focus on quality reps over heavier weights.  Alright if you are ready to get started drop   me a ‘let’s go’ in the comments below, grab your  gear and get ready we are warming up right now!     Any suggestions from anybody about how to blend this with running? Current thought is I will do three workouts from this a week instead of five, with two days running and two days rest. If any physical trainers out there have advice for me on if that makes sense, let me know!
