Hey everyone, welcome back! So, today’s workout is a cardio based ab workout. This workout is part of my free 30 days Flat Belly challenge. So feel free to check that out. But, if you want to do this on its own, it’s totally fine as well. Let’s jump straight into it! Before we start, I’d really appreciate it if you could smash that thumbs up button, drop me a comment and share this free workout program with anyone who needs it. Now, let’s start this workout with some warm-ups. We’ll start with some slow high knees. Next, we’ve got overhead reach. Give those arms and back a good stretch. Next we’ve got torso twist and crunch. Twist your body three times, then crunch up. We’ve got jumping jacks next. This will help you to raise your heart rate a little. For low impact, just take it nice and slow and follow along the mini me on the left. Mini! Now time for some side lunges. Stretch out those legs. Forward deep lunges are next to stretch out your hip flexors and hamstrings. Alright, we’ve got a quick 10 seconds break and we’re starting the workout. We got two sets of eight exercises, 45 seconds on and 15 seconds off. Let’s start with hopping crunch. Remember to mentally focus on your abs and engage those abs as you crunch. Just get rid of the jump for low impact. Also, if you can’t finish 45 seconds of any exercises just do the best you can. You can try 30 seconds and take a 30 seconds break. The most important thing is that you’re trying and you can work your way up. Just don’t rage quit. You can do this! Now, get on the ground. We’ve got groiners next. Bring one leg to the side like-so. Again, we’re not just working our legs here so make sure you’re engaging those abs. We’ve got high knees next. Now get onto the ground, cause plank with bunny hop is next. Keep pushing, guys! We’re almost halfway through the first set and if you can’t do the bunny hop, you can just do a high plank instead. Next, we’ve got another round of jumping jacks. Plank to squat is next. So, get on the ground and yeah, don’t do what I did here. Be safe guys. You can also have your feet wider apart, but I like doing it this way because I feel it more on my lower abs. Alright we’ve got knee pulls next, and we’re going to start with the left side. Now, this exercise can be really easy if you’re not doing it right, so make sure you’re squeezing those abs of yours real tight and drive those knees to your chest. On to the other side. Good work, guys! We’ve got a 30 seconds break. You can take up to a two minutes break. Just pause the video if you need to, then we’re onto our second set. Alright, we’re starting the second set with some burpees. For low impact, just don’t do the jump. I’ve got comments that some of you guys really hate burpees and just rage quit after you see burpees. It is a very good total body exercise and I’ve included the low impact version if the high impact burpees is getting too much at this point. Just hang in there and do the low impact version if that’s the case. Next we’ve got jumping oblique twist. Be careful with your ankles and stop after several twists if you need to. Your girl here is very bad with coordination, so I always have a hard time doing this. Hate to say this again, but engage those abs! Next we’ve got wood choppers and we’ll start with the left by lunging down. Work those abs as you’re chopping down that freaking tree! Do it and this exercise is really good for your obliques. Now, on to the other side. We’re halfway through the second set, guys! It’s not too hard at all. We’ve got another round of high knees next. Get on the ground and we’re doing some up and down planks next. Be sure to keep your back straight and don’t land too forward or too backward. Alright, saving the best two exercises for last. Mountain climbers are next. Go as hard as you can. Engage those abs, let’s do this. I know it’s hard, but we can do this. The last exercise before our cooldown is tuck jump and crunch. Go all out guys. This is the last one. Really work those abs and if you can’t do the jump, just do the low impact version. That’s really good as well. Awesome work, guys! Now it’s time for some stretches to cool down. It’s really important to stretch for recovery, so don’t skip this bit. Let’s start by stretching out those quads. Find a chair or wall if you need help balancing. I obviously needed help at this point. Be sure to stretch out both legs and feel free to do a longer stretch as well. Now let’s stretch our hamstrings and our arms. Now, lock your fingers behind you and stretch backwards as well. Now get your hands on the ground into a downward dog and loosen up those legs a little. Now get into the cobra pose to stretch out your abs and your neck, and get into a child pose to stretch out your back and your abs as well. And that’s it, guys!
